Is there really no model of the 911 featured in a list of the coolest cars of the last 50 years?

Oh. There were a few notable omissions, I felt.

NSX - Japan's first super car?
MR2 - Affordable mid-engine car for the everyman that did not combust into flames.
Nissan GTR - Ugly technological marvel showcasing the best of japmagic-- Japan's answer to the Vette.

Dastun/Nissan had a few missing. 510, 240z and at the very lest, the Skyline GTR. But then it's always been that way with Jap cars.

But somebody at R&T has a boner for BMW's that for sho

Yes! The 510 was an egregious omission!

Isn't it kinda covered by the 2002? Better to have the 240Z I think.

I'm glad they included the Countach.

If I win the lottery tonight, I'm buying a smog exempt Countach and paying a lot of money to transplant the Aventador drivetrain into it.

The BMW was cool. But for the same money you would spend on a 2002 TII. You could get a tricked out 510 that would kick it's ass and still have cash left over.

The 510 did greater things and was faster then a Z on most tracks. In fact Brock said the BRE 510 was faster on the technical tracks then the AC Cobra. (Both Brock and Morton worked for Shellby). I know the Z sold better and had a better fallowing (ok maybe not better, but a crowd that didn't mind spending a buck or two). In America those 2 are big stand outs. But the cars we didn't get here that really should be in there are the Skyline and or the Pulsar GTiRs. Those two cars have legendary performance. The Godzilla and Baby Godzilla!
