I know I was pretty bummed the first time I wrecked but it get's easier as long as it doesn't mean a new donor.
Mostly the experience, in my mind my car is in pristine shape. New passenger fender, new hood, great looking LR quarter... If I washed it , I could go to the runoffs I think with how it is now.

    Body work SUCKS.

Yup, cornering speeds did go up. You can hear it in the video capture, especially compared with last year's footage.

I need notch it up more, drive angrier everywhere, I've heard it called.

If you have video, post it so we can make snide remarks!

Horsepower is EVERYTHING in wheel to wheel. Momentum is cool and all, but it doesn't safely get you through slower traffic.

I totally agree, now your sounding like a Corvette Driver.

I sure wish my new engine had the horsepower it was supposed to have.

Go get em. Your on a roll.

OK, Rob. I'll edit it down to two laps and post it, if I can figure out how to do that on this site. It's likely I could learn something from the remarks, however snide they might be.

I learned a lot from Francis' video. As my friend Eric would say, "Good stuff."

OK, here goes nothing. This footage contains the mother of all blown shifts after a decent exit from the complex, and a bit of a dick move by a Camaro who was leaving the track, but the two laps are fairly clean.

Doesn't look too bad to me. Only thing I can think of is going into 12 (end of last straight) a little more trailbrakey and bansai. Other than that just need a willingness to accidentally destroy brand new tires once in a while. I'm still working on that myself.

You need to drive angrier everywhere. It's just that easy.

Watching it on a big display now.

You can brake harder in 3, try braking near the flagger station.

You talk to yourself a lot, don't you Brett? :-D

I have installed the motor mounts—on top of my tool box. I'm not looking forward to putting them in the car, but at least I have them.

Rob, I wasn't talking to myself. I was talking to Tyler Vance, who was instructing from the passenger seat. We had a Chatter Box system in the car, but I couldn't hear him very well over the exhaust. I did, however, hear him tell me to brake at the Turn 3 flagger, too.

Next time I have an instructor in the car, I'm going to bolt on my supplemental "Laguna Seca exhaust system." Maybe then I'll be able to hear him.

Shoot man, catch me some afternoon when I've finished racing my one class and I'll install them.

So the rumors of the difficulty of the job have been greatly exaggerated, I see. If you can do it at the track, I'm sure I can do it at home. Thanks, mang.

Call if you have questions. On at least one side you'll be removing the engine motor support as well as the motor mount itself.
