Default 25 hours of Thunderhill interest?

Not the LeMons race, but the more serious NASA event.

It's one of those things kinda going through my head. While the SRF wouldn't be a class winner (since NASA pretty much puts all sports racers in the same group), it could still be fun (and I believe I can get a light bar setup for it) and my car is fundamentally set up already for big drivers (since it's easier to put a small guy into a big seat than a big guy in a small seat).

It would definitely take some money to do so...but it's not truly massive money from what I've seen.

    Anyone have interest?

It's at the end of the year, and is NASA sanctioned. I don't know what licenses they take -- I am (perhaps foolishly) assuming that my SCCA National license would be eligble for a NASA license that allowed me to run it.

The 25 is an absolute blast. All kinds of cars out there, everything from Spec Miatas to Daytona Prototypes. Very fun, and a great experience. If you have the chance, go for it! You won't regret it.

And you get a really cool t-shirt, too.

I would be interested, but I think I need a license and maybe a little racing experience...

You'd definitely need a license. And looking at their regs, they don't allow rookie drivers -- you need to have at least 8 races under your belt. But hey, think of it as a good excuse to go racing!

There's a million and one annoying details in all their regs....you'd think this wasn't a club race (I guess they want to make something of it).

I have a wedding to go to that weekend and will be out of town. Maybe next year. This race has always been something I've wanted to do. And that track is amazing.
