    So, it's a Fiat 124 that will start and won't rust at the first exposure to moisture.

    The link says fiat plans to use it's own engine, probably the 1.4L turbo. If this car and the miata are priced the same then the fiat making 160hp, 170lbs torque and getting 30+mpg is going to be more appealing that the miata?

    Only trackhq guys are going to buy the miata

    Maybe wait for the first 1.4L to pop up in the local salvage yard from a wrecked 124 and swap it into a Miata

    ^^^ Fiat engines are good, but the chances are that there will be many usefull bodyparts, but not even one good engine
    In 10-15 years that is.

    nah, it is the other way around. Fiat engines will be destroying themselves 1st time temperature goes over 80F. Fiat owners will goto local salvage yard, pick up an engine from a wrecked Miata (all those that rolled at WSIR T9).
