Congrats to everyone, especially FXMD - lots of work went into getting that car set up right for Buttonwillow 13CW and it payed off with the record.

now how do I correct Hellafunctional?
    should be Street RWD:
    2. Alex Peng - momofoolio Racing/ Novak HVAC - 1:59.066

First of all, being a Honda guy I have to say I'm really happy to see that the lap record is now hold by a "proper" race car - MR NSX, not some monster AWD XD
FXMD is truely amazing!! Their team works so well that I witness their magic of overcoming problems one after another like cutting tofu and putting it down every single time!!!

The Sports Motion Car also did a very good job~
The motor screams to 9k putting down 425whp and seems to be very nicely dialed in!
Driver Tim Kuo used to drive the Evasive EVO, he is also an S2000 owner and a friend of mine so congratz to his great success!!

Now to Clint, gosh how do I say I love this guy?
He is always so sunny and energetic, he helped me with some spare RBF600 when I ran out in the middle of bleeding the brakes!!
When I saw his 1:59 flat time I was so stocked!!
Finally a Street FF car putting it down!!!
Congratz my man you are SUCH A BEAST!!
and thanks for your help once again

However, I have to disagree with Clint's opnion on the Berk car..

    .....
IMHO the Berk BMW 135 fits into MOD class right in..
Full cage, no head lights, no license plate, big wide body, full aero, big slicks, heard 500+ whp, missing most interior... etc

I drove to the track and back home on the same set of tires that I'll use to take my gf out for dinner lol

anyway I wasn't too pleasant with my car setup..
I did everything last minute and had to try out too many new settings at once that I completely lost direction of how to tune the car/ adjust my driving to the optimum..
somehow my fastest time was set during morning practice running a 1:58.963..
no matter how I change the setup and try different things here and there my lap time just seems to be stuck at 59 flat thru out the day~@@?
I know the car has at least another sec in her and I just couldn't make it stick.. not liking the tires (RE-11) at all which I have never tried before but I will blame everything on my hot head driving =.=

nonetheless I have to admit I learned a lot from this first experience in SLB~
the whole experience and learning how to prep the car and keep 100% focus on driving and everything is just so amazing and wonderfuly enjoyable while also very very tiring lol
my crew (friends) did excellent job on helping me out during the day and I sincerely appreciate the help from the following sponsors/ individual; without their help this wouldn't have had happen so THANK YOU ALL SO SOO MUCH!!

Ryan Novak - Novak HVAC/ AQ Motorsports
Darin & Chris T Nishimura - WestEnd Alignment

    Ben - PuddyModRacing

    Fellows @ S2000 Challenge

momofoolio Racing crew - Vincent Chao, John Tran, Tony Liu & Mike Kang
    John Lee - AutoWorld Magazine
Mark Tsai, Michael Tsay, Daryl Chan, Si Tang, Peter Wang, David Leung, Clint Bosideau... and everyone else who have helped me along the way whose name I forgot to mention at the moment~

on the side note, just watched the video from yesterday, had a big off before bustop!
Seems like I was doing abt 95mph sliding until I dropped my outside rear tire into the dirt.. the car went full lock on me and I hit the ride side berm with that same tire, BOOM I got spun 180 off the track backwards!! LOL
I guess we will have a very entertaining video this time XD

last but not least, I will take this defeat and learn from it and be more prepared and come back even stronger next year!!
so stay around for more of my nonsense in the future guys

The Berk 135 is built to the same Street tire class rule limit for when it ran in redline, but that rule set puts them in limted with SLB, so thats what they ran. It is a extremely setup car, but i mean it has alot of room left if they set it up for 100% limted/mod class

and the car only makes 400whp

    Default Hybrid Power!

We ran our Jackson Racing CR-Z in the Hybrid class. We ran a 2:12.185 (nearly 6 seconds faster than the Hybrid record) and ran consistently faster laps than Street class cars. Not bad for a car that got 35+MPG to and from the track while fully loaded with track gear/boxes/jacks.

Unfortunately we were the only ones in Hybrid class this year, but we beat the old records and had a lot of fun. We got some great data for our new products and that was the goal. I pushed a few cars into mistakes and offs... I think from the confusion of a Hybrid in their rearview.

He saws the steering wheel just like Manly! Thanks for posting. Too bad there is so much sun glare and you really can't see the track in parts of the video.
