from what I understand, car still ping every lap. still need to be dialed in. it will be doing 1:27s pretty soon. probably less in winter.
Um...that is blazing fast for a Miata. Nicely done!

First hot lap after lunch I mis-shifted and rev the motor to 9.2k! (This ain't no s2000)
I also mis-shifted from 5th to 2nd in my S2000 this past Saturday. I don't think I pulled the clutch out all the way, and instead pushed it back in as soon as the car lurched forward. G2X Datalogger shows I hit 9962rpm for a split second. Anyone know if I should worry about this? No symptoms so far...

Motors can rev to 10 safely all day. Don't worry about it
    Do you understand?

That's a great improvement. It sure helps to have both a good teacher and good student.

Thank you! Yea, she was very good at following instruction and basically completely fearless after the first session. I've never instructed before but it was alot more fun than I thought it was going to be after I had confidence in her driving.

She is now hooked. Mission accomplished

guys, think about this. This is just crazy (great lap btw, Jack) !!!

Jaku's s2k (and most s2k Challenge cars) has no roll bar (stock hoop), no air bag (aftermarket steering wheel), 3 point seat belt, no harness, and a soft top. yet turning 1:32s.

a Spec Miata has roll cage, HANS, racing seat, 6 pt. harness, hard top. yet the lap record is ~1:37.

    This is just nuts

Spec Miatas race wheel-to-wheel and bounce off each other quite a bit...
