Default 110,000 miles on my Evo IX MR daily driver

I now have 110K miles on my IX MR daily driver in a little over 5 years. Nothing has ever broken on the car. I never had a warranty repair. I just service it according to Mitsubishi's recommendations and drive it hard on the street. It was tracked twice early its its life but never since. The clutch wore out at 72K miles and now I have 38K on the second clutch with no problems. What a great car! I'm keeping it forever.

I agree with you that an evo makes a fantastic dd. I drove an evo x last weekend and was thoroughly impressed! Handles great with the ayc but still pretty comfortable and affordable. Should be my dd in about 11 months if everything goes according to plan.

I would seriously be considering a Evo X MR for a DD if the twin clutch trans didn't have so many issues. The car is impressive.

Very nice Richard. Once my trans is replaced, I'm hoping to make it over 110k on my car. I don't ever want to get rid of it.

I really do believe ix MR will be a collector's car soon. It is the last iteration of an icon.

STOCK IX MRs. I agree. the same thing has happened in the Toyota Supra market. there are so few stock ones left, that the original twin turbo cars command a premium.

I think it's going to be quite a while before Evo IX MR prices go up. But my car is bone stock, the only thing I ever changed was adding track/street brake pads and slotted front rotors, and I run full-tread RA-1 as my street tire. Oh, and the stubby radio aentenna.

There are some scratches on one side of the front bumper, so I need to paint that. Otherwise, car is in excellent cosmetic shape inside and out.

Indeed I do. These were taken shortly after I bought the IX in April 2006, but it still looks the same. Maybe not quite so shiny. The last pic is in my old garage next to me long gone white Evo VIII RS track day car.

Thanks for the pics. Always loved that color on Evo IX MRs.
