Default Bobby Cee's "Racers Edge" Driving School - $275 - Arrive & Drive Spec RX-7s at WSIR

I came across this driving school the other day and I have been speaking with the owner. It is normally an introductory type course for novice drivers (Car control, Visuals, the Line, Heel & Toe). Bobby has agreed to pair me up with two other drivers with more experience, maybe at an intermediate or higher level of driving, and skip some of the basics and include some racing and passing skills. See below for a brief description of what to expect.

The cost of the course is $200, and includes the use of their Spec RX-7s. Tires, fuel, driving suits, helmets, etc are all inclusive. A $75 annual Willow Springs license is required since the driving school will be held on Test and Tune Fridays. I believe the license will be good for the remainder of the year, not sure if it lasts a full 12 months.

I think this will be a great experience for someone like me with around 10 track days under my belt to work on car control, passing, and gaining skills of driving a low hp momentum car to use when driving my S2000. Regardless, this will be some extremely affordable track time in an arrive & drive car. If anyone else is interested, please let me know or contact Bobby through the link below with any questions. Since it will be held on a Test & Tune Friday, I will need to request the day off from work in advance. The next two dates I'm looking at are Oct 26 or Nov 2. I can't Sep 21 off, so that day is out for me. If anyone has serious interest, let me know which day works best with you.

Is anyone else interested? I have one guy for 10/26 and one guy for 11/2 right now. We'll need 3 total to get the class going. If we get enough people for both days, I may look into going to both.

I could probably do either. Did they mention how long the driving sessions are? If I get 3 20min sessions thats a great deal w/o instruction. I bet I could get 1 or 2 friends to go also.

I've talked to Bobby Cee, sold him some parts off the car I was parting out. Great guy and a class act. He had told me about this driving school. Nice to see it happening.
That's not a Typo, I just can't spell no so well.

I've never driven an RX7. I'm interested just for that if they will let me drive it at full snort.

I doubt if they care. I assume the rule is, "you break it, you bought it."

If you are definitely interested, please add your name to the lists below, or modify your name on the list as necessary. I will try to find out how long the run sessions will be, but it definitely looks like at least 4 sessions. If anyone wants to ask specific questions, check what specific things will be covered, or make requests for the curriculum, please contact Bobby at the e-mail below. It will avoid back and forth, and be sure to post your results back here. I've never taken the class, so I don't want anyone to be disappointed if it is too basic or beginner for some of you.

Due to your extensive experience, I would contact Bobby and let him know what you're interested in doing. He may work out a special rental arrangement for you if you tell him about your racing experience and maybe show him some videos. You can contact him at Bobbyceeracer@aol.com. If you do work something out with him, let me know if it's going to be on one of the two days listed above so I can list everyone that's going. It would also be cool if we can just rent the Spec7s in the future for a cheap rate.

Do we have to do the classroom instruction? What if we're not complete noobs to racing or track driving? So essentially we only get two sessions out on the track?
