    Default Corner/brake markers

If you were able to put permanent markers @ the Big track. What and how would you do it?

A friend of mine asked me my thoughts and I would like to hear the groups thoughts.
That's not a Typo, I just can't spell no so well.

    or

    T8

Aside from their cost I never understood why people race them.
But obviously I just dont get it. -fatbillybob

I know willow needs a little help (ok a lot) in other areas. But still. This is a start.

They have painted spots for their cones. Some are for bikes. Some are for cars. I've set up cones there a few times, and it's not easy.

    But there's always my video.

T9 is difficult because of the lack of reference points. Some groups place cones, some don't, and even if there's cones, cars toss them away all the time. Most people have trouble to be consistent in their braking and turn in points for T9.

I'd put three evenly spaced paint markings on the outside as reference points for braking into T9, three more as reference points for turn in (1-2 meters apart). Paint them green/yellow/red to make them stand out.

    Something like this:

from what I heard the bike guys didn't like the paint. It was slippery. Same with the road reflectors. Hitting those on a bike turning in makes for a fun moment.

I was thinking of an colored asphalt covering, Something like slurry coat.

If you have pictures, I'd like to see those too.
The only ones that are in the videos on youtube. But it's only on a straight entering one corner. And they are moveable stands, not permanent.

There are already paint spots at turn-in points and apexes for cone setting. If you know where to look you can spot them during your recon laps and then use other landmarks when up to speed. One thing I never do is look at the ground alongside my car at 100mph turning-in for 9. I gunsight the apex and track-out points instead as a reference. WSIR is not my favorite track but there is plenty to learn there about carrying speed through a corner.

I think most of us that have been to the track have seen the paint marks.

I was inquiring if anyone knew a way, or have an idea how to have marks. Maybe like marking the asphalt some way that's long lasting, easily visible at speed and is not slippery (like paint).

I'd like to see a big paint mark for the T1 apex. It's hard to see that last little steel half-dome on the inside. I like it when there's a cone placed on the dirt to its left, but that doesn't always stay put. For the rest of the turns, I already have decent permanent markers.

A close friend was talking to Christopher about it. He asked if he had any suggestions. He came to me, and I thought that I would see if anyone in our group had any ideas?
If anything good happens, You can thank Bobby.
The good news. There is a very good possibility SOW will get repaved in the near future.
